Cindy Romaine is the principal of Romainiacs Intelligent Research, a consultancy focused on information intense projects and content strategies. Using the skills and techniques gained from more than twenty years as a corporate librarian, Romainiacs helps clients answer perplexing research questions, provoke innovation and find creative solutions.

Cindy’s experience includes 16 years at Nike, Inc., where she was responsible for the strategic global information resources for a world-class design community. She envisioned, implemented, and disseminated information relevant to Nike’s venues and product initiatives. She also conceptualized and implemented web resources and inspirational exhibits directly applicable to Nike’s design initiatives. Cindy spearheaded the collection, preservation, and utilization of Nike’s historical assets and procured of one of the foremost global collections of vintage Nike shoes from Tokyo.
Cindy Romaine actively contributes to her professional community and, in 2011, was President of the International Special Libraries Association which had 10,00 members in 73 countries. As President, Cindy encouraged members to become Future Ready. To that end, using aggressive social media tactics, she launched a daily blog at www.futureready365.sla.org which garnered more than 4.4 M hits and 400,000 unique visits in 2011. She is recipient the SLA’s Business and Finance Division, Center of Excellent award.
